Utility companies participating in the Dollar Energy Fund Hardship Program match each dollar with corporate funds. 100 percent of all contributions to the Hardship Program are directed to low-income families experiencing difficulty paying their utility bills. Our utility partners make an additional contribution, over and above their shareholder’s donations, to support our administrative costs. This unique model has resulted in our ability to assist more low-income families.
